Event description

Join us on 19th June for our next Creative Hub, where we'll discuss all things portfolios! Led by local illustrator and animator Corrianna Clarke, get guidance on how to compose an ideal and impactful digital portfolio in simple steps. We'll look at local artist examples, take away layout drafts to get you started, and if you fancy - take the opportunity to share your own portfolio for gentle feedback.

Creative Hub

Join our Creative Hub - monthly drop-in evenings of sharing and chat for all creatives in business - part of our new artist development programme, Open School Creative (OSC).

This is a space for reflection and discussion among a like-minded community, with free tea and coffee.

These group led sessions are co-hosted by TOSH and Emilie Giles (local textile and technology artist and arts educator).

  • An informal blend of themed social, educational and guest-hosted sessions.
  • Open to creatives of all disciplines, at all stages of their journeys (visual artists, performing artists, digital creatives, bakers, designers, artworkers, workshop leaders and so on!!)

We are here to help fight the isolation that many of us can feel, considering collaboration and connection as a means to kickstart our motivation. These meet ups encourage creatives at all levels and from all backgrounds, we're very friendly and hold a supportive space for all.

About OSC

Open School Creative is a collaboration between BEAF Arts Co and TOSH (The Old School House) to support our community of artists and their artistic development at all stages of their career. OSC events and workshops are for artists interested in collaboration, skills development, community and networking.

Getting to us at TOSH

If you are coming by foot or by bus, take the M2 bus and get off near Boscanova if coming from Southbourne, or the stop after Aldi if coming from Poole and Bournemouth. If you are coming by car we would recommend parking in the sovereign centre car park.

Pokesdown for Boscombe train station is a 15-20 minute walk to TOSH, along Christchurch Road, cutting into the residential roads to get to Gladstone Mews.

TOSH has accessible toilets and kitchen facilities. If you have any access needs you would like to let us know about, please feel free to email us: contact@toshspace.co.uk
