Access BEAF Performance: weighing yesterday's rain, with Prajvi Mandhani

Experience Prajvi's sound performance - a fluid landscape, continuously flowing and evolving between the artist and the vessels of rainwater.
Event description

This soundscape is leaking, it’s flowing in and out and around and through. It’s dripping, overflowing. It's carrying, holding echoes of memories. It’s roaring, angry and violent, forced to be contained. It’s displaced.

This work is a sound performance, a fluid soundscape, continuously flowing and evolving between the artist and the vessels of rainwater.

Prajvi Mandhani

Prajvi is a recent fine art graduate from Arts University Bournemouth. She is a multidisciplinary artist, working across video, sound, performance, drawing and installation. Her work is situated in intersectional ecofeminism and political ecology which she explores through a continuous practice of gathering, archiving, preserving, digitally foraging and learning. She is currently interested in researching water ecology, more specifically the entanglement of human and non-human within the hydrological cycle. Her most recent project includes VVV Residency (2024), an online residency with Vegapunk and VisualContainer which resulted in an exhibition in Naples.

This performance is a public programme event as part of the Access BEAF Exhibition Connected Grounds.
